Abstract

Workload is the quantity of the type of work that as much as possible must be completed by a professional health worker in one year at health service facilities . The purpose of this study was to determine the workload of medical record officers at General Hospital  Sayang Ibu Sintang. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive approach, the subject of this research uses three officers, the object of this research is the medical record workforce of General Hospital  Sayang Ibu Sintang. The results of the research on the main task of medical records, the main tasks carried out by the medical record officer at General Hospital  Sayang Ibu Sintang, have been quite well done, for the influencing factors by using the Man, Money, method, machine, and material factors, namely human resources. For humans, based on the standard calculation of the workload, returning files to filing is the largest workload, for a standard allowance of 0.0030 minutes for the need for manpower as many as one officer. The amount of working time available in one year is 260 days or 1,582 hours or 332,640 minutes. The standard allowance for the medical record unit at General Hospital  Sayang Ibu Sintang is 0.0030 minutes. The most time is found in returning files to filing, which is 231,000 minutes or 13,860 hours/year. Based on the calculation of the need for medical records General Hospital  Sayang Ibu Sintang, one additional officer is needed. It is hoped that the hospital can improve performance both in the registration, assembling, filing, and reporting sections so that hospital productivity is not disturbed.
